Description

Lledo toys are often highly regarded by collectors for their quality and attention to detail. While somewhat underrated, the brand has developed a reputation for producing well-crafted diecast models that capture the nostalgia and charm of earlier eras. It's fascinating to see that even today, you can find some remarkable Lledo toys at incredibly affordable prices. It's a fantastic opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to add valuable pieces to their collection without having to spend a fortune.

Available for sale today is a bit of scarcity listing due to the number of themed Lledo buses in a single collection. More specific, 8 in the lot - a perfect way to start you own vintage diecast toy collection. Or, add to an existing one. The lot of Lledo Marathons consist of the following:

  1. Ghana Airways
  2. Island Tours
  3. London Pride Sightseeing
  4. London Zoo
  5. Air Canada Courtesy Bus
  6. Heatrow Gatwick Speedlink
  7. Gatwick Flightline
  8. Today's PanAm - To every corner of America

Condition: All toys are MIB (mint in box). They are clearly NOS (new old stock). They have never been displayed in a store and are in unplayed condition. The boxes are in pretty good shape, all solid, complete, and crisp. Small scuffs and creases due to their age and of course, handling and storage.

Lledo was established by Jack Odell, one of the former owners of Matchbox, in 1982. Jack Odell, along with his son, started the company with the intention of creating a range of collectible diecast models that focused on vintage vehicles and nostalgia. Jack Odell had a significant influence on the diecast toy industry, as he was one of the key figures behind the success of Matchbox. He worked for Lesney Products, the company behind Matchbox, and played a crucial role in developing and expanding the Matchbox brand in the 1950s and 1960s. The rights and assets of Lledo were acquired by Corgi Classics Ltd.
