Description

Would look great on a shelf fool of antique books. They would go well together wouldn't you say?

A great example of fossilized wood specimen. We don't have anything against polished pieces that are getting transformed into bowls or coasters or whatever. But a piece of petrified wood, unpolished, as it came from the ground, just seems to look better. And feel better in your hands. Imagine that you are holding a piece of tree that was living million of years ago. Imagine how the tree branch or trunk that this specimen belonged to, fell on the ground, got covered in mud, and over millions of years remained undisturbed while minerals seeped into it. Eventually the wood rotted away while the minerals remained.
