Quarter calf over marbled boards. 8 fine engraved plates, 1 folding engraved map of France hand-colored in outline. Some light staining mainly restricted to first few preliminaries, most pages clean and bright, near fine condition...a beautiful copy. Boards with minor scuffing, edgewear, corners/edges with minimal rubbing, near fine.

"AN VII" of the Republican calendar corresponds to the years 1798 and 1799 of the Gregorian calendar.
