Description

Offered today for sale is a Longines Grand Prix Fine Pocket Watch made of .800 Silver. Open-face, it is a keyless pocket watch. It is in good working condition (it has been tested), with light signs of wear. A great item to own for the vintage watch collector.

Longines is a Swiss luxury watch company that was founded in Saint-Imier, Switzerland in 1832. The company is known for its high-quality timepieces and has a reputation for producing accurate and reliable watches. Longines has produced a variety of watch styles throughout its history, including pocket watches.

Pocket watches are watches that are designed to be carried in a pocket rather than worn on the wrist. They were popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries, but have since largely been replaced by wristwatches. Pocket watches are typically worn with a chain that is attached to a belt loop or vest button to keep the watch secure. They often have a cover that can be flipped open to reveal the watch face, which is typically smaller than the face of a wristwatch.

Longines pocket watches are known for their classic design and attention to detail. They may feature intricate engravings, decorative covers, and other features that showcase the craftsmanship of the company. Like other Longines timepieces, pocket watches from the brand are typically made with high-quality materials, in this case silver, and are powered by reliable movements.
