Offered for sale today is an enchanting vintage wood sculpture crafted by the Canadian artist Berthier Beauregard. This sculpture beautifully captures a grizzly bear in the act of securing a freshly caught wild salmon, likely inspired by the significant salmon runs in British Columbia that are so crucial for the survival of grizzly bears.
Distinguished by the signature "Berthhier B" for Berthier Beauregard of Saint-Port Joli, Quebec. Carved likely during either the late 1950s or early 1960s. In excellent condition.

- The wood base is 17cm long, 10 cm wide, and 4cm tall.

About Berthier Beauregard
Berthier Beauregard is a known Canadian folk artist active in 1950s and 60s. Currently, Berthier Beauregard's studio in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec, is owned and overseen by his son, Mathieu.
