Description

Step into the captivating world of Hungarian artist Béla Kádár with his mesmerizing artwork titled 'Five Hooded Ladies in the Village.' This remarkable piece showcases Kádár's mastery of diverse artistic influences, blending gouache and ink on paper laid down to a board. The artist's distinctive signature, 'Kádár Béla,' graces the lower right corner of the artwork. With painting dimensions measuring 31 inches by 23 inches, this painting not only bears the mark of Kádár's talent but also invites you to explore the intriguing narrative it holds within its enchanting depiction of hooded ladies in a village setting.

During our examination, we observed a few tiny paper or cardboard fragments that appear to have become dislodged, likely originating from the margins of the board. These minor fragments are inconsequential to the painting's overall condition, as verified by our inspection, but they may be visible in the high-resolution photographs included for your reference. We would suggest considering professional framing services to replace the current frame with one that complements the painting's quality more effectively. Apart from that, the painting is in great condition, displaying only a few hairline cracks in the gouache and ink, likely a result of the process when the painting was mounted onto the board.
