About Artesania Rinconada
Artesania Rinconada originated in Uruguay, where it was established by Jesús and Javier Carbajales brothers. The company was founded in the early 1970s, with a focus on creating handcrafted stoneware pieces. Many Artesania Rinconada figurines are produced in limited editions. This practice adds a layer of exclusivity to their pieces, making them highly sought after by collectors.
The designs often reflect various cultural and natural themes, including animals, mythical creatures, and traditional symbols. This reflects the influence of diverse artistic traditions and brothers' own interests. Each figurine is meticulously sculpted and hand-painted, which means that even within a limited edition, no two pieces are exactly the same. This attention to detail enhances the uniqueness of each figurine.
Artesania Rinconada stopped production around 2007, when the company seemed to have ceased operations. Consequently, pieces from before this period have become increasingly collectible and are highly sought after by enthusiasts.
