This piece of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG), made by Gillinder & Sons in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1885, is a rare find. They mostly made these in clear glass, but this one is Vaseline glass with intricate detailing that glows under UV light, revealing its uranium content. It has three feet and was likely used to serve nuts. Found in the Gillinder and Sons 1881 - 1891 catalog. You can view the catalog leaf along with the other product photographs.
Approximate dimensions: 5 and half inches long and almost half inches wide. 1 and quarter inches tall. We recorded a sale on eBay for a similar piece for 65USD. We are listing ours at $64. It’s a great example of the craftsmanship from this period.
