About Hollóháza Porcelain

• Hollóháza is one of Hungary's oldest pottery makers, having been around since 1777.
• At the turn of the century, big changes were made to meet the standards of the 21st century. For example, new equipment was bought and an ISO 9001-2000 certificate was obtained.
• In the 1970s, the firm worked with famous artists such as Victor Vasarely, Amerigo Tot, and Endre Szász, which brought them fame around the world.
• Originally established as glassworks, the factory transitioned to ceramics in 1831 under Count Mihály Károlyi.
• From 1978, an independent studio operated within the factory for nearly a decade, producing unique black-and-white designs with solid gilding.
• Hollóháza porcelain has a dedicated collector base, especially among enthusiasts of European fine ceramics.
